Just after 10:00 pm yesterday, Engine 292 (first due engine) and Ambulance 29 were dispatched to the 4900 BLK of Procopio Dr, in Co. 27’s area, for a reported house fire. Engine 292 and the Volunteer Duty Chief arrived to find fire showing from a 2 story, split foyer home. Engine 292’s crew immediately began an offensive attack, discovering a well advanced fire on Division 2 and in the attic. One firefighter sustained minor burns after the roof partially collapsed. Crews remained on scene for 2-1/2 hours before returning to service.
