07/03/23 – Just before 9:00 in the evening, Engine 293 was alerted as the third due engine to the 8400 Block of Branchwood Circle in Co. 25’s area for a house fire. Engine 25 arrived to find smoke showing from a 2 story, single family dwelling, with a working basement fire. Engine 293 laid out from a secondary hydrant and the crew took their assigned position, stretching a 200’ crosslay to the first floor to check for vertical extension and was later assigned to complete secondary searches. The crew remained on scene for just over an hour before returning to Suitland.
