07/08/23 – Just before 4:00 in the morning, Engine 292 was alerted to the 2500 BLK of Berkley St in the first due for an automatic fire alarm. En route, the box was filled for a reported fire in the basement. Engine 292 arrived to a one story, single family dwelling with smoke showing. The crew deployed their line to the rear and make access to the basement. The crew encountered hoarding conditions while making a knock on the fire. Primary searches were negative. The crew remained on scene for 2-1/2 hours before returning to service.
